2008 Kokkino se Mavro red – Nemea AOC, 100% Agiorgitiko 16.5
Medium dark red cherry colour, bright and clear. Nose full of strawberries and spices. Medium bodied with very round and balanced tannins. Lots of potential here, very well made. AVIN0069678773319
2005 Domaine Mitravela red – Nemea AOC, 100% Agiorgitiko 18.5
Medium to dark black cherry colour. The wine was exposed to one year in barrel and a further 6 months in bottle. The vines used are 40 years old. The nose is very complex, made up of spices, red fruits and vanilla. Very impressive on the palate with dense fruits. The wine is very well balanced with good levels of tannins. This will last, it is extremly well made. A benchmark wine. AVIN3442289432818

About Markus Stolz

Over the last years, I have come to really appreciate Greek wines. There are many grape varieties that exist only in Greece and I have the good fortune of being able to try them all. I wish to share my enthusiasm with wine lovers around the world, who often limit themselves to maybe four red and four white grape varieties for most of their life.
