From one coast to another

I am going to visit the U.S. again this Saturday. Having executed two major co-operations with American importers, the new relationships have to be tightened and the new launches supported.  In order to efficiently convey the story about Greek wine, I feel it is imperative to meet the sales representatives and their clients in person. I will throw all my energy at this, in order to add real value and effectiveness.

First, I will fly to California and spend a week in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The only time I have been to CA before was on my honeymoon nearly nineteen years ago, so this visit is quite special to me.  I will be working very closely with WineWise, whose current portfolio of Greek wines that they directly import via me consists of the following wineries:

* exported to the U.S. for the first time ever

After this, I will travel to New York for the official launch of Frederick Wildman’s New Greek wine portfolio. I will be there for the week with all the producers and can’t wait to introduce these exciting new wines!

I am so happy that Greek wines make serious headway at the same time at the East and West Coast of the U.S.A.

As for this blog, there will be a short break until I am back in Greece. Meanwhile, check my twitter and Facebook streams for updates.

  2. Cheers Heike. I am passionate about Greek wine and I love my work big time, that just sums it all up. I am privileged to do what I love. Very much appreciate the good wishes!

  3. Well done Markus,
I assume you will be visiting Nappa Valley. I was there not so long ago, and was really hoping to see some Greek wine or Greek wine farms, saldy I saw none. Hopefully, you will chnage all that ;)
Have a safe trip and Bravo!!

  4. Markus,
I live in Los Angeles and I’m a recent follower of your blog. I very much appreciate the knowledge and enthusiasm you put into your work. If you are able to share your Southern California schedule, I would love the opportunity to meet you and provide any help you may need in expanding your presense in California.
